FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I REFER MY PATIENTS TO BDR?

If you are a provider and referring a patient to BDR, download our Provider Referral Form. Once it is complete, you can fax it to 614-725-5016 or email it to our recruiter Anna Ecklund at AEcklund@docsdermgroup.com

WHAT CONDITIONS ARE YOU CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR?

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER SUBJECT HAS COMPLETED A TRIAL?

Depending on our current trials we have enrolling, we provide subjects with the option to enroll in another clinical trial if we think they might be a good fit. If we don't have any available trials for the subject at that time, we refer them back to their referring provider. For subjects who are not referred by fellow dermatologist, we will refer them to our dermatology clinic located across from our site.

WHAT IS THE CLINICAL TRIAL PROCESS?

Once a patient is referred or contacts our office directly, they are contacted by a BDR team member via phone or email. Through this encounter, we provide the patient with information and introduce them to the trial. If the patient is interested, we will review eligibility criteria with them to ensure they will qualify for the trial.

If they appear to be a good fit for the trial, we will schedule them for a screening visit where we review medical history, assess the disease, and initiate any necessary washout periods. After 1-4 weeks the subject will return for their baseline visit where they will initiate treatment, assuming all baseline eligibility criteria is met.

Subjects will return for follow-up visits (determined by study protocol - typically between every 2 weeks and every 1 month initially). Studies are generally at least 3 months long, with most offering long-term extensions that allow years of treatment. At study conclusion, they are instructed to return to their dermatologist.
